The software collects nothing about you. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no licence phone-home, and no account. It does not know who you are and never asks. Your data stays on your computer.
The rest of this document is the detail behind that claim, and the two exceptions where the software talks to the internet — both only when you ask it to.
Everything. Data you load, engines you train, files you save and every result produced stays on your machine. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no server belonging to this product for it to be uploaded to.
There is no account, no login and no licence key check over the network. The software works with no internet connection at all, apart from the two features below.
Both are optional, both only fire when you use that feature, and both send only what is needed to fetch the data.
Market quotes. When you request a ticker, the software calls Yahoo Finance (query1.finance.yahoo.com) with the symbol you typed and the date range.
Economic series. When you request one, the software calls the St. Louis Federal Reserve's FRED service (fred.stlouisfed.org) with the series identifier you asked for.
In both cases the request goes directly from your computer to that provider. It does not pass through anything belonging to this product, and no copy is kept. Those providers will see your IP address, as they would for any web request, and their own privacy policies apply to what they do with it. Nothing about your data, your models or your results is sent — only the symbol or series you asked for.
If you never use those features, the software makes no network requests.
Payment is handled by the store you bought through. That store — not this product — collects your name, email address and payment details, under its own privacy policy. Payment card numbers are never seen by or transmitted to this software or its author.
If you email for support, that email and whatever you choose to include in it will be read and kept until the question is resolved. Nothing is added to a mailing list without you asking.
The software is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, including children.
Since no personal data is collected, there is nothing held about you to access, correct, export or delete. If you contacted support, you can ask for that correspondence to be deleted at the address below.
Where GDPR or similar law applies, the lawful basis for the two network features is performance of the contract — you asked the software to fetch that data.
If this policy changes, the updated date at the top changes with it and the current version ships with the software. A change that introduced any collection of personal data would be announced before it took effect, not after.
